Creating a Residence Layout, Seating plan, Toilet and Utility room plan using AutoCad
Aim : Creating a Residence Layout, Seating plan, Toilet and Utility room plan using AutoCad.
Procedure : Sketch 1
Sketch the layout of a residence as shown in the Figure 1. Consider all dimensions as reference to sketch the unit plan. Also the text in the layout are only for reference. Assume the missing dimensions. Also, refer the schedule for size of the doors.
1 The above sketch was been drafted using the given dimension
2 The outer wall thickness is 9"
3 The inner wall thickness is 4.5"
4 It contains 2 bedroom, 1 dining, 1 living room
5. Bedroom 1 - 11' - 7.5" X 12' - 0"
6 Bedroom 2 - 11' - 6.0" X 12' - 0"
7 Dining - 8.0'-7.5" X 11' - 0''
8 Living - 14' - 10.5" X 11' - 0"
9 It includes 2 toilet
Toilet 1 - 8' - 3" X 4' - 6"
Toilet 2 - 8' - 1.5" X 4' - 6"
10 Three types of doors are been used in this plan.
11. The command through which te sketch was drafted are
a. Unit - Unit was set to engineering.
b. LIMMAX - the limit of area was been set first.
c. Offset - for the internal & external wall, Staircase etc.
d. Circle command - For the door
e. TRIM - for trimming the unnecceray lines and curves.
Sketch 2
Sketch the seating plan for an outdoor canopy. Assume the dimensions for the seating. Also, consider the dimensions in mm.
1. The unit was set to Decimal
2. Then using the circle, radius command the Circle of Radius 1398 & 452 is drafted.
3. The chairs around the Round Table were drafted using the command Arc, and then the curve shape been able by the command fillet, radius.
4. Hence the table was been drafted.
Sketch 3
3. Sketch the part plan for the toilers and utilities room. Consider the outer wall thickness as 300mm and inner wall thickness as 150mm. Also, assume the missing dimension, Texts, dimensions, and hatches are only for references. Also, symbols for toilets and w/c are also for references.
1. The unit was set to Decimal
2. The external wall has a thickness od 300mm
3. The internal wall has a thickness od 150mm
4. The D.H. toilet has the dimension of 1900 X 1700
5. The Utility RM has the dimension of 1900 X 1700
6. where the FFL is 877 mm.
7. This sketch was drafted using the command
a. OFFSET - For the external wall 300mm / Internal Wall 150mm
b. For the WC & Wash basin the command arc, fillet & Line command were used mostly for the proper sketch drafting.
c. The door consist of dimension 828mm & 832mm which was drafted using the command Circle & Line command.
Conclusion - Hence the above 3 sketches were completed
