Creating 3D Isometric view of various structural elements in AutoCAD
Aim: Creating a 3D Isometric view of various structural elements in AutoCAD
Procedure.
1. Create a 3D Isometric View of the building with the plan and elevation given.
1. The unit is set to 'Engineering' and 'feet'
2. Limits are set to lower corner - 0,0 and upper right corner 30',30'
3. Plan is drafted according to the given dimensions above.
4. It consists of 2 Elevations. That is Elevation A & Elevation B.
5. Window size is Drafted to 4',3'
6. The mode is set to 3d modelling.
7. Height of the building is extruded to 6' by using the Extrude command.
2. Create the 3D View of the Building Façade as given in the plan and elevation. Also, see the detail of the window.
1. The unit is set to 'Engineering' and 'feet'
2. Limits are set to lower corner - 0,0 and upper right corner 20',20'
3. Plan is drafted using the Line command, Trim Command & Offset Command.
4. Using the reference of the dimensions given above the Elevation and Window details are drafted.
5. Setting the mode to 3d modelling.
6. The plan is extruded to 41'-2"
7. The window details are extruded according to the dimensions in the above-given drawing.
3. Create the isometric 3d view of a stair with a railing as shown in the plan and elevation. Assume the size of the balustrades and the handrails
1. The unit is set to 'Engineering' and 'feet'
2. Limits are set to lower corner - 0,0 and upper right corner 20',20'
3. The staircase plan is drafted according to the given reference
4. Side Elevation is drafted according to the dimensions given.
5. Setting the mode to 3d modelling.
6. The Staircase width is extruded to 2'
7. And the extruded plan is then switched from 2d wireframe to shaded.
4. Create the 3D view of a Wall with spread footing. Create the Door opening only. Assume the size of the parapet and the coping. See the plans and elevation for the details. Also, create a rendered view of the model with materials of your choice
1. The unit is set to 'Engineering' and 'Decimal'
2. Limits are set to lower corner - 0,0 and upper right corner '1500,1500'
3. Plan & Section is drafted according to the given dimensions above
4. Then the mode is set to 3d modelling.
5. And the plan is then extruded & Section is extruded.
Conclusion: Using the Drafting and Annotation and the 3d modelling mode, the Challenge has been completed.
