PROJECT REPORT

TITLE: CONCEPT MODELING OF A CAR BUMPER

INTRODUCTION

The Bumper of a car is essential part in the car. It plays an important role in protecting the car during a head on collision. Here a concept model of a car bumper is made using Autodesk ALIAS.

OBJECTIVE

The main objective is to make a concept model of a car bumper using Autodesk ALIAS. As a reference different images of a car is taken.

DESIGN METHODOLOGY

The flowchart representation on how to design a car bumper is shown below

DESCRIPTION

First of all we have to make a cube with given dimensions. Then select a face and fix the view of the respectively. After fixing the canvases we have to scale it so that it fix properly in the cube from different sides.

After that we have to make the bumper curve network.

Then finish making surfaces one by one.

CONCLUSION

The concept model of a car bumper is designed. The required fillets are also added.
