Challenge 5 : Concept Modeling of Car Bumper

This was a rigorous exercise. First, I created a curve with 5 cvs and snapped it on the vehicle wheel arch. Then manipulated the curve by selecting parallel CVs then selecting an unparallel scale. Copying the same curve and manipulating the upper arch line. Now for the vehicle specific line above the wheel arch I copied the original and transformed using scale , adjusting CVs and extend tool. Now using the skin tool the arc surface is created then making two more curves attaching the fender, I used the square tool. Now the most accessible part of the bumper is the flat surface. I made the curves accordingly and by rectangle tool, the main surface is created. Now making center lines and adjusting the CVs according to the desired shaped. The corner part of the bumper was the most difficult section as the continuity wasn't creating properly but after few adjustments with align tool, it's created. Now the nose of the front bumper was a flat surface. I made 2 curves according to the surface then by rail command with default option at the end the surface is created. Now I used a different approach I made the shape curves and projected them on the nose then trimmed out the undesired portion this saved me time. Now connecting the parts of the bumper. Later I used projection on the surface then trim convert to get the proper surface beside the headlights. Now the continuity is achieved. The shape of the bumper is achieved. The final part is detailing. I used a circle tool to make headlight and fog light cutouts. By CV manipulation later projecting on the surface trimming out the undesired part the bumper is achieved with decent continuity. Lastly, I used the fillet command to smoothen the surface.
