Benchmarking
Ans 1. Benchmarking is a comparison of standards of two different things. It is a process of measuring the performance of a company’s products, services, or processes against those of another business considered to be the best in the industry, “best in class.” Benchmark is essential in order to make the car unique and competitive. Vehicle manufacturers have to benchmark their vehicles in a competitive environment in order to improve or strengthen the potential of vehicles.
.
So, here 4 vehicles are compared which are tata Nexon, Mahindra xuv 300, Hyundai venue, and ford ecosport.
all of them are front-wheel drive, manual transmission, and having a maximum of 6 gears. so talking about transmission everything is the same.
now by doing a comparison between these 4 cars about Engine:- all of them are using diesel as a fuel. all of them are consisting 4 cyl turbo engines and have minor differences in 2 or3 cc which can be negligible while comparison. but talking about engine power Mahindra XUV operates at 117 hp at 3750 rpm which is quite high compared to other cars. also, XUV 300 has maximum torque which is 300Nm which is also good compared to others.
fuel economy is almost the same. also talking about safety all of them are having 2 airbags.
Now the most important thing is price:- Tata Nexon has a price of 9.71 lakhs which is lower compared to others.
so according to me, Mr. D.s should buy neither Hyundai venue nor ford ecosport. Now he has two options between tata Nexon or Manhidra XUV300. I think he should go for Mahindra XUV 300.
According to me Mr. D.s should go for ciaz for travel to Bengaluru once in month with his family.
