Benchmarking
Benchmarking:
Benchmarking is a process of measuring the performance of a company’s products, services, or processes against those of another companyconsidered to be the best in the industry. The point of benchmarking is to identify internal opportunities for improvement.
That might mean tweaking a product’s features to more closely match a competitor’s offering, or changing the scope of services you offer, or installing a new customer relationship management (CRM) system to enable more personalized communications with customers.
Benefits of Benchmarking:
- Understanding how your business stacks up against your competitors
- Improving company efficiency and effectiveness
- Tracking the progress of business goals and objectives
- Discovering new opportunities for rapid growth
- Motivating staff and holding people accountable
- Boosting the performance of business sales
- Improving the quality of products sold by a business
Situation:
In the situation given in the question, Mr Pughazhyendhii is looking for a big car to drive to and from the office and occasionally to his native place which is 500kms away from where he lives with his family, which is Bangalore, a very crowded city with heavy traffic.
So keeping in mind his situation and condition, I have selected 4 models which lie in the price range of under 10L on-road (Bangalore price)
Keeping in mind the appalling traffic conditions in Bangalore, it would be easier to drive an automatic variant, since it will give hassle-free driving to Mr Pughazhyendhii.
These are the models I have chosen for Mr Pughazhyendhii.
(All data has been gathered from carwale.com )
The Nissan Magnite and Datsun GO+ are CVT models, the Ertiga and Amaze are manual variants.

All 4 are fairly big vehicles as that is what Mr Pughazhyendhii likes.
Now let us compare between these final 4 choices and select the best one for Mr Pughazhyendhii.
Comparing the engine and transmission first of the selected variants, we can see that the Ertiga makes the most power giving 103bhp and the GO+ gives the least with 76bhp. The Magnite and Amaze are close behind with 99bhp and 90bhp respectively.
The Magnite is the only one here with a forced induction engine, all the others have naturally aspirated engines.
If it's the Ertiga that gives out the most power, in the torque department, it is the Magnite that shines above the rest giving out 152Nm (thank the turbo for that)
According to ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India) data, the Ertiga provides the most mileage with 19.01kmpl and the Magnite provides the least with 17.7kmpl.
Magnite Ertiga GO+ Amaze

As Mr Pughazhyendhii is very fond of big cars, let us look at the proportions of each vehicle.
We can see that the Ertiga is easily the biggest car of the lot with more passenger space as it is a 3-row car (MUV basically). The Magnite is the tallest car here, so it does have that SUV-like presence.

The Amaze has the most boot space (since it's a Sedan).
The GO+ has the least turning radius at 4.6m which is a boon in congested places.
Also only the GO+ and the Amaze come with alloy wheels.

Now when it comes to the safety standards, the Ertiga loses points. The Magnite and Amaze are by far the safest of the lot. Both have been certified 4 stars by Global NCAP (New Car Assessment Program).
The Magnite scores even more here with the addition of ESP, TCS and hill hold features making this the safest car of the lot.

The Amaze is the only car here to get a reverse camera and cruise control, which are 2 useful features to have.
Only the Magnite and Amaze come with keyless start/stop button functionality.

When it comes to lighting, only the Amaze offers LED DRLs, LED fog lamps and LED projectors. None of the rest have these quirks.

When it comes to the entertainment side too, the Amaze comes with wired Android Auto/Apple Carplay which the rest do not boast about. Touch screen display is available both on the Amaze and GO+. But only the GO+ includes built-in GPS.

Finally when it comes to warranty, Honda has given the Amaze with 3 years/unlimited km warranty which is a step above the rest.

Conclusion:
Looking back at all the quirks and features of theses 4 cars with a detailed comparison, even though it is a manual variant, the Amaze seems like the one to buy. It has got more features than the rest, is a fairly big and spacious car, very comfortable, has good safety ratings, and that peppy high revving i-VTEC engine that will put a grin on your face.
