Benchmarking

Benchmarking is the process of comparison of newly developed products/model to the existing product/model to deduce the set of requirements and improvise wherever necessary. It can be done in different levels; product level and part level. Product level benchmarking is the primary requirement for the design phase wherein all the technical aspects are taken into consideration on a wholesome level. Whereas the part level benchmarking is a more detailed benchmarking process, and it defines even the minute specification of a particular part and its functionality.
