Under Body Coating

Vehicles have many parts and components to operate. These parts are manufactured differently according to their goal and purpose. Therefore, a coating layer is applied to the under body of the car called an under body coating which has a crucial purpose. Thus, the under body coat purpose and use will be explained.

The under body coating is a chemical compound made of ingredients that contain silicon, rubber, asphalt, fiberglass, and petroleum. It is used commonly to provide protection to the car. Firstly, it prevents corrosion of the metal by covering the surface of the metal and insulating it from the environment. Secondly, it reduces the damage caused on the underbody by absorbing the impact energy of rocks or any hazardous condition to the body of the car from the road.

The coating also provides an aesthetic look to the underbody of the car. It covers the underbody completely. Furthermore, its color gives the car a beautiful look. It usually lasts in good condition for a year. Moreover, its thickness depends on the standards followed to manufacture the car.

In conclusion, underbody coating provides a clean look to the body of the car and protects it from road damage and corrosion. It is a necessary component to increase the life of the car. Applying it depends on the manufacturing standards of the manufacturer.

Exercise 1

Benchmarking is the process of comparing your product to the competitors’ specifications, cost, and quality. It provides the best practice of a certain process by comparison.

According to the problem statement, Mr. Pughazhyendhii wants a car that can carry 5 persons, has good mileage, comfortable for trips and costs 8-10 lakh. He prefers big cars.

A Toyota urban cruiser costs 9.02 K lakh. It has good suspension and a 16 in rim which is comfortable on roads. It has an 18.6 kmpl and has great after sale service. Unfortunately, leg room is inconvenient.

A Mahindra bolero neo cost 9.53 lakh. It is a 7-seater. Moreover, it is diesel which has a mileage of 17.2 kmpl. In addition, it has comfortable, spacy seating. It has large luggage space Sadly; it is bouncy and noisy and heavy compared to other cars.

A Tata nexon costs 9.24 lakh. It has a clearance of 209 mm and a 16 in rim which provide a comfortable drive. In addition, it is a 5-seater, feature packed, and spacy car. Its luggage space is convenient. Furthermore, it weighs 1260 kg. unfortunately, it has a mileage of 16.3 kmpl.

A Kia carens cost 9.59 lakh. It is a 7-seater car that weighs 1361 Kg. it has a beautiful interior compared to other cars and it is very comfortable in the road due to its suspension and 16 in rim. Unfortunately, it has a low mileage of 16.2 kmpl and a small luggage space.

I suggest the Tata nexon because it provides the necessary features to the family by its comfortable seats and drive. Moreover, it deserves its price by the features provided . its price is within budget and satisfies the customer.
