Assignment 4

OBJECTIVE: To compare the given cases in terms of the material property and their behaviour in the deformation with the help of a Rigid punch ball

SOFTWARE USED: Radioss 2019 (Hypermesh)

PROCEDURE:

1. We first import the model file with the help of importing a solver deck into the radioss workspace.

2. After we import the file we check the properties for each case and then go to analysis and click on Radioss.

3. We need to select the 0000.rad file which is the output file for the simulation. For every case we need to choose the assigned file and then run the simualtion in a specific folder.

4. to analyse the results we would have a files created in the specific folder.

For analysing the model contours we use .h3d files in contour option and for graphs we use T01 files.

This Image shows that the elements are deleted from the simulation and the internal energy graph. It also shows the contour for von mises stress and the plastic strain.

In the image we can see that the plate can sustain a elastic behaviour due to the action of the rigid ball

As we can clearly see that the elements have been completely deleted when the value of the paramenters is reached.
