ASSIGNMENT-1: 2D Meshing Challenge

AIM: Followings are the overall objectives of the exercise.

• Clean the geometry.
• Extract mid-surface.
• Clean mid-surface geometry.
• Ignore holes less than diameter 5mm.
• Create 2D mesh with target length 5mm, min 3.5mm max 7mm.
• And assign proper thickness, by creating a generic property.

FIRST GEOMETRY- ( Practice):

PROCEDURE:

• PARENT GEOMETRY WAS CLEANED.
• MID-SURFACE WAS EXTRACTED AUTOMATICALLY.

• Mid-surface geometry was cleaned BY REMOVING HOLES LESS THAN 5 M.M.
• 2-D meshing and thickness assignment was performed.
• 

• SECOND GEOMETRY- ( CLIP REPAIR):

  • MID-SURFACE WAS EXTRACTED AUTOMATICALLY.

• Mid-surface geometry was cleaned BY REMOVING HOLES LESS THAN 5 M.M.
• 2-D meshing and thickness assignment was performed.

THIRD GEOMETRY- ( Mounting Bracket):

• MID-SURFACE WAS EXTRACTED AUTOMATICALLY.

• Mid-surface geometry was cleaned BY REMOVING HOLES LESS THAN 5 M.M.
• 2-D meshing and thickness assignment was performed.
