Title of the project- Advanced Sheet Metal Design Using NX Cad Challenge_7_Metal bracket-II
Objective- This is a project to learn the step by step procedure to create a Bracket with a gusset from the given 2D drawing.
Learn the user interface and basic features of Sheetmetal application in NX-12 like Contour flange, Normal Cut-out, Break corner, Unbend, Bead, Re-bend, Hole, Advanced flange.
Introduction -The shape and dimension of bracket will be determined by the shape of the item it is holding up but will also be affected by the load capabilities and the manufacturing process.
A bracket is an intermediate component for fixing one part to another. It is used to support the weight. Brackets vary widely in shape, here we are having some shaped bracket.
some time the strength is added by the metal braket is not sufficient then we are going to add the face or we are going to gusset. these gusset are provided on the boend also on inclinedd plate.
as shown inabove figures when the strength is not sufficient at that time we provide the gusset on it.
Design methodology-
Procedure-
firstly we created the skech of line and then create the contour flange with the required length and direction.
New sketch is created on perpendicular surface and then trim the surface by selecting the normal cutout and then select the sketch give the diamension of length and click ok.
All the cutouts arecreated by sketching with the given diamension and create the normal cutouts then click on ok.
Edge corners are break, unbend the part with the help of unbend commaand.
holes and normal cutouts are created with the hole command and normal cutout command
remaining cutous are created with the help of skech and ellipse command.
Advance flange is created on the top surface and at the ellipse with diarection.
