Advanced Sheet Metal Design Using NX Cad Challenge_7_ Metal bracket-II

BRACKET II

OBJECTIVE:

To create a bracket with the use of given sketch and the procedure.

INTRODUCTION:

To create a bracket using a given sketch with the use of following advanced sheet metal tools.

  1. Sketch- To draw the diagram with the required dimensions.
  2. Contour Flange - To create a flange using a sketch.
  3. Normal Cutout- To create a slot to remove specific area in a part with the use of a sketch.
  4. Advanced Flange - Using this we can create flanges in curved areas too.
  5. Unbend- To flatten the bend areas with a base surface
  6. Rebend - Bend the unbended areas back to position.
  7. Break Corner - Blend the sharp edges with specific radius.
  8. Gusset- A small projection created to increase the strength of the part by specifying the plane.

METHADOLOGY:

DESCRIPTION:

Create a sketch at the ZX plane and made it to a sheet metal with the use of contour flange.

Create a normal cutout with the given sketch.

Again create a sketch for normal cutout.

On the other side create a sketch for normal cutout.

Now we have to create normal cutout on the bottom side of the flange.

Create a flange on the top side using the advanced flange.

Unbend the part by specifying the base feature.

Create required slots using normal cutout.

Using the break corner blend the edges with specified radius.

Create a advanced flange near the slot.

Rebend the part to its original position.

Create gussets at required places .

Create a flat pattern for this part.
