Advanced Sheet Metal Design Using NX Cad Challenge_6_Bracket
OBJECTIVE
Create sheet metal bracket using NX CAD
DESIGN METHODOLOGY
- Use contour flange and sketch in XZ plane.
- Create Sketch in XY palne which will be master sketch.
- Do normal cut out and use master sketch for trim.
- Do break cornor and also apply un bend operation.
- Apply bead and do re-bend
- Add some holes.
DESCRIPTION
- SKETCH: It’s a basic drawing in which any kind of operation can be performed, with reference to it.
- CONTOUR FLANGE: It is used to extruded perpendicular to the sketch, define a thickness in the thickness tab.
- UNBEND: It’s a command which is used to unbend the sheet metal with respect to a stationary face.
- REBEND: It's used to bring back the old bends which were bent before.
- BEADS: Used for giving more strength for the sheet metal.
- HOLE: Hole command is used to provide mounting holes for the bracket
- BREAK CORNER: It's used to change sharp edges into smooth edges.
Conclusion
The structure of metal bracket is obtained using basic feature of NX sheet metal application.
