Adams challenge 5 - post processing
I simulated wheel longitudinal recession for bump or wheel travel in a double wishbone suspension. I took three cases:
i. Ran a baseline simulation.
ii. Increased LCA front and rear point by 10mm (z-direction) to alter the Instant Centre, and then ran the simulation. (Check Image 1)
iii. Lowered UCA front and rear point by 10mm (z-direction) to alter the Instant Centre, and then ran the simulation. (Check Image 2)
1. I opened the post-processor and plotted wheel longitudinal travel vs wheel vertical travel to see the cases(Check Image 3) with proper Graph styles, titles and labels.
a. The legend box, font and style were changed in the legend object option under the plot tree on the left side.
b. The curve's style and line thickness were changed in the curve option under the plot tree on the left side.
c. Spec lines were added for X=0 and Y=0.
d. Title, subtitle and axis titles were also changed under the plot tree option on the left side.
2. Images 4, 5 and 6 show export and Import plot config files to create the Wheel Centre Lateral Migration vs Wheel travel vertical with exactly same plot graphics as wheel longitudinal recession.
3. Exporting numeric data is done in File>>Export>>Numeric data. The A and B columns are selected from simulation data and then saved in a directory (Check Images 7 and 8).
5. For Animations camera and recording, it is done in the post-processor window>> load animation. Then the video is exported in the required format with custom resolution. (Check Images 9 and 10).
