Adams Assignments – Problem 4 – Steering geometry 2
In order to achieve the given targets, multiple iterations of hardpoints modification was done and the final values of the modifications are given below (note only the x- and y- coordinates of the lower and upper ball joints are modified):

First only the y-coordinates were modified to achieve the targets for the kingpin inclination angle, scrub radius and the steer axis offset (resultant) since these parameters are defined on the front view geometry governed by the y-axis.
Once the above targets were reasonably met, the x-coordinates were modified to achieve the targets for caster angle, caster moment arm and the steer axis longitudinal offset.
From common sense and as observed during the iterations, modifications in x-coordinates didnot affect the values for kingpin inclination angle and the scrub radius. Similarly, modifications in y-coordinates didnot influence caster angle, caster moment arm and the steer axis longitudinal offset. Only, the steer axis offset (resultant) was influenced by both the x- and y- axis modifications although majorly by the y-axis changes i.e.it couldnot be controlled independently.
Below are plots for the given parameters before and after hardpoint modification.
