To model the parts for Transmission belt Kickstand Front fender Rear fender using solidworks

  1. Transmission Belt

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1By-MsL5G6tWYloRXFhzdXTvh6n736gXu

Steps Involved:

  • Click on the solid works software icon.
  • Select create part.
  • Click on plane.
  • Select line command and draw the horizontal line of length 350mm
  • From the end of the line draw arc of radius 70mm
  • And from the other end draw the arc of 60mm
  • Join these two arcs with the line touching as a tangent to each other
  • After this we have to offset the whole sketch with distance of 3.5mm
  • Exit the sketch and extrude it with 88mm
  • Select whole part edge give fillet radius of 1mm
  • In appearance section drag and drop the matte finish from the rubber to the drawn transmission belt.

  1. Kickstand

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1WD05NInRlefuRZxPnzsGmXv0RM1tL7Au

Steps Involved:

  • Create new part
  • Change the name of the front plane as vertical plane, top plane as center plane, right plane as midplane
  • Draw an ellipse on the vertical plane making center as origin
  • Using smart dimension tool give vertical distance as 18mm and horizontal distance as 40mm
  • Now draw the spline on the front plane or vertical plane selecting as top view
  • Draw the spline starting from the origin and click Esc key
  • By clicking on the spline we can see the spline handles
  • Give the vertical dimension to the spline from the origin to the top of the spline as 110mm and horizontal dimension as 202mm
  • For bottom spline handle give the dimension of 225mm and exit the sketch
  • We need to create new sketch on the end of the spline so create new plane
  • Create plane which is normal to the spline
  • Exit the sketch draw the ellipse
  • Intersect the ellipse with the spline using pierce relation
  • Give the horizontal dimension as 30mm and vertical dimension as 12mm
  • Exit the sketch
  • On the feature tab select the lofted boss/base
  • Select the profile from smaller to larger ellipse
  • Drag and drop the green points on the ellipse mid points
  • Select the centreline parameter as spline click ok
  • Now draw the elliptical dome of radius 13mm on larger ellipse and radius of 5mm on smaller ellipse click ok
  • Now start sketch on the midplane press Ctrl+8 key to view in normal
  • Select center point rectangle place at the origin modify the rectangle as 8mm and 28mm hit enter and exit
  • Make an extrude cut by selecting through all both
  • Now select the plane 1 create sketch in top view
  • Select the line as from the midpoint place it 4.5mm from the center of ellipse
  • Now select split option select body which we want to cut hit ok
  • Now we need to create the pivot in the top plane
  • Draw the circle at the origin of 9mm dia and exit
  • Now go to feature tab click on extrude and select upto next select direction 2 click upto next ok
  • Apply fillet of 2mm in the edges and 0.5mm to the internal faces
  • Change the appearance of the kickstand into chrome material

  1. Front fender

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1JG4Ouy-f6rf4pahMJ2dm22Db1bpFHXsS

Steps involved:

  • Click on part
  • Rename the front plane to vertical front fender top plane to center plane front fender and right plane to mid plane front fender
  • Start the new sketch on the vertical plane select 3 point arc place it above the origin width between two points is 160mm radius of arc is 125mm and from origin to center point of arc is 280mm
  • Offset the arc inward with 6mm and draw two vertical lines and join the inward arc with extend entities command trim extra lines exit the sketch
  • Now we need to create the revolve to do that we need to create an axis based on vertical plane and center plane and place the construction line from the origin of 200mm
  • Now select the revolve boss/base select the axis which we have created
  • Now give the angle of 5deg in direction 1 and 130deg in direction 2 click ok
  • And change the appearance into painted car Siena
  • Start the sketch on the center plane now hold the Alt key and rotate the sketch with arrow keys
  • Create the construction line of 34mm make it dynamic mirror and sketch the spline
  • Apply dimensions from the origin to the secondary spline point of 50mm and vertical dimension of 45mm and 200mm from the bottom of spline to the origin
  • Make sure spline handle is vertical
  • Apply dimension 160mm to spline handle
  • Now using split tool cut the body which we want to remove click ok
  • Do it same for other end also by taking spline and give the dimension 47mm for horizontal and 182mm for vertical and 180mm for spline handle
  • Now select split tool cut the body which we want to remove click ok
  • Now apply fillet of 6mm two the external face make sure tangent propagation is on

  1. Rear fender

https://drive.google.com/open?id=1lKDqGQRDZ_XUPTKoSXeBjOYbBZXvSLtC

Steps involved:

  • Create new part
  • Rename front plane to vertical rear fender top plane to center plane rear fender right plane to midplane rear fender
  • Now sketch on the vertical plane by creating 3 point arc of radius 290mm and width of arc 364mm 90mm height from the origin to the center of the arc and draw the construction line which vertical to end point of arc
  • Now offset the arc inward with 6mm and extend it upto the vertical line exit the sketch
  • Now select the revolved boss feature make use of direction 1 with 10deg and direction 2 with 140deg
  • Now change appearance to painted car Siena
  • Now start the sketch on center plane rotate the sketch by holding Alt key and pressing arrow keys
  • Draw the 3 point arc
  • Make sure left side and right side point of the arc are horizontal and center of arc and origin are vertical
  • Give the dimension from the origin to the center of arc 227mm and and radius id 265mm
  • Now use the split tool remove the leading edge of rear fender click ok
  • And apply fillet of radius 45mm to all four open edges and 4mm fillet to the outside face
  • Now select the shell command change the thickness to 4mm apply it to inside face click ok
  • That’s it and save the part
