Steady state simulation of flow over a throttle body

Steady state simulation of flow over a throttle body

AIM: Steady-state flow simulation on the elbow-shaped throttle body.

Geometry:

For this analysis, the base meshes size of 2mm chosen with appropriate fixed embedding near the boundary of the throttle part.

Surface with edges:

Output and Results:

#1 Pressure contour

#2 Velocity contour

Line plots:

#1 Cell count

#2 Mass flow rates

#3 Pressure plots

#4 Velocity plots

It can be observed that at around 4000 cycles the simulation is being converged. The simulation ran for roughly total cell counts of 35000.
