Events have been used to create diaphragm till 0.001 seconds.After that diaphragm breaks and mixture of O2 and N2 takes place.
In geometry shown below, in brown region O2 is present at 1.013 bar and 300K,whereas on the other side N2 is present at 6 bar and 300K.

In graphs 1 and 2,Pressure and mean temperatures are constant till 0.001 seconds,after 0.001 seconds due to mixing of gases,pressure and mean temperatures changes according to the flow of pressure waves.

Graph 3 shows the total cells.Till 0.001 seconds total cells are constant as there is no mixing.After 0.001 sec mixing occurs.To increase the accuracy of output parameters while mixing,total cells increases on the basis of adaptive mesh refinement.
