In this challenge,I have learnt velocity distribution through the pipe and how to noramlise the velocity profiles.

Run a pipe flow simulation with an inlet Reynolds number of 100,1000 and 10,000.

For each of these cases do the following

1. Place line probes at 95%, 90% and 85% of the pipe length.

2. Compare the normalized velocity profile at each of these locations

3. Normalize the velocity profile by the inlet velocity

STEPS:

1.Consruct a circle of diameter of 25mm in the front plane

2.Extrude it to a length of 600mm

3.Create a shell on both the cross section area of thickness 1.5mm

4.Construct a line probe in the 95% of length on top plane

5.Similarly construct line probe for 90% and 85% of length of pipe

6.Create lid on both the cross section of the pipe

7.Save the file

8.Click on wizard and choose internal flow , air as fluid medium and select laminar and turbulent flow

9.Use the given reynolds no.100 to find the inlet velocity by reynolds no. formula diameter as 25*10^-3 , dynamic viscosity as 1.825*10^-5,density as 1.225

10.The velocity for Re=100 ,Re=1000,Re=10000 are 0.06m/s/, 0.6m/s ,6m/s resectively

11.Insert the boundary condition velocity as inlet and static pressure 0f 10135 as outlet.

12.Give mesh manually and set 8 in x-direction,8 in y-direction and 16 in z-direction

13.Create cut plots at three line probes

14.create xy plot at the line probes to compare the velocities of different reynolds number

15.Run the simulation

16.Now create parametric study and give input parameters velocity, static pressure, mesh value and output as cut plot and xy plot

17.Change the velocity for Re=1000 and Re=10000 and give differnt meshes

18. Run the parametric study
