Meshing of Side Door with given quality Criteria By 2D Meshing
OBJECTIVE:
The objective of this challenge is to mesh the given component (SIDE DOOR) has per the given quality criteria and maintain the mesh flow.
The quality criteria to be maintained are Targeted mesh element-4mm

REPORT:
Initially the given component has been imported in the workspace and component has been observed completely.
Geometry clean up is done by toggling the unwanted lines to maintain the mesh flow and even auto clean up can been used to clean up the geometry.
Defeature tool is used to remove the fillets in the ribs to make the offset easier.
After the geometry clean up the mid-surf has been offset by OFFSET tool in the surface edit option by one by one surface and even ribs and it has been organised in separate collector.
FIG 1a Mid-surface is seperated
Then the meshing has been started from complex areas in the component.
As the component is non-symmetric the mesh should been done for whole component.
The mesh is done with the given quality criteria and the given element size is 4mm.
The remesh is done again and again to reduce the tria element and to get a mesh flow and even for quality.
Once the mesh is completed the Material and Property has been assigned to the mid-surface.
After the inner surface, the outer surf and lower mid surf is also meshed with the given quality criteria.
The tria element in some regions are removed by using quality index in the 2D option.

In this challenge we can come to know many new tools and shortcuts to get a proper mesh flow,
F7 is used to place, move, align the node in the mesh to get the mesh flow and even to alternate the min & max elements .
F11 is for quick edit in this we can able to do any geometry clean up.
F12 is used for mesh.
By shift+F3 we can find the free edges in b/w the elements and we can equivance it.
And F3 can replace the nodes so that min elements can be cleared.
F4 can be used to calculate the distance between the two, three nodes and points.
F5 can mask the elements (or) surface.
Organize tool is used to move surf and element to desired component.
Defeature tool to remove the fillet.
CONCLUSION:
Finally the mesh is done for the given component (SIDE DOOR) has per the given quality criteria and the mesh flow is maintained.
