Downloading the Software
The software can be downloaded from the playstore.
After Downloading the software it will ask you to create an account and log in, so please do so.
Upon installing, clicking on the link given to you by the host will automatically redirect you to the meeting.
OR
You can copy the meeting ID from the host which will be the numbers after the url code, which will look something like this,
https://zoom.us/j/887150364, where 887150364 will be the meeting ID.
Upon Openeing the Zoom App you can select Join, you can then paste this ID in the meeting IDbar.
Setting up the Audio
As soon as you join your first meeting in ZOOM, the app will ask you to setup the audio, it should look something like this,
Click the button on the lower left of the screen which says 'Join Audio'. After click this button the app should open a new screen which asks for a connection method, here click 'Call using Internet Audio' to connect.
After connecting the audio, If you are using headphones you can click the speaker icon on the top left of the screen to toggle between your device speaker and your headset.
Home Page and Main Features
After entering the Meeting ID and joining the room the device should automatically sense your default microphone or headphones if connected.
This will be the general layout of the meeting window.
On the lower most left corner you can see the mute/unmute icon for your mic. Make sure your mic is on mute as soon as you start the meeting, only switch on your mic if you have been given a permission to do so by the host or co - host. This is crucial as unmuted mics can cause a lot of audio interference and disturbance.
The green icon on the lower middle of the screen is the Share option, with this you can let the host or co - host monitor your screen to verify doubts.
Upon clearing your doubts you can aways leave the Meeting by clicking the Leave Meeting icon at the top right corner of the black screen.
If you click the Participants icon on the right side of the Share icon you can see the Participants tab on a new window, Here, you can see all the participants and their roles. You can also see the status of the video and audio sharing from here as you can see the participant has his video and audio muted.
The icon on the lower left corner is the chat icon, this can be used as an active chatbox during the progression of the meeting giving you an opportunity to directly interact with the host. We strongly recommend you use the chatbox instead of the mic until given permission to do so.
Screen Sharing
Upon clicking the share screen option you will get this screen,
With this screen you can choose the type of content you wish to share with the host from your moblie device. Upon sharing your screen, you can see a small interface at the lower left bottom of your screen,
Here you can see the Annonate icon. Never click on this option unless explicitly told by the host to do so. We kindly request you to do so as annotating can cause you to taint the hosts screen which can cause unneccesary confusion.
On the right side of the Annonate icon you can see the Stop sharing option, with this you can stop sharing your screen with the host.
These are some of the basic options availble in ZOOM Cloud Meetings Android.
