Front Suspension Setup
OBJECTIVE: To mesh the given componengt with the proper quality criteria and form connections to nessesary parts.
SOFTWARE USED: ANSA 2019
PROCEDURE:
1. First Load the document in ANSA workspace and clear the document of all topological errors that occur due to the transition of the model.
Figure 1: Imported model
As we can see that the model imported is only half. We need to make it a full model. We can do that later by going into translate and choose option Copy. By using the default plan for copy you can copy the model accordingly.
2. Now we check the geometric errors from the geometry checks manager.
Figure 2: Geometric checks complete
3. Now we can see that the suspension needs to be broken down in different parts as it consists of many elemnts that together form a suspension system.
We check the system for thickness and where the tthickness is less than 5 mm we create a mid surface for those components and for hollow components we create a solid mesh with the given quality criteria.

For solid meshes the tet collapse value is 0.2.
Mid surfaces for components has to be done. We used the offset method to create mid surfaces for the following components.
Figure 3: Mid surface for spring Arm connection
Figure 4: Mid surface spring arm quality clear
Now we model the solid parts together.

This model is also needed to be mirrored along an axis.
Figure 8: Mirror
Due to the complexity of the part many proeprties were to be created for solid meshes and also for mid surfaces.
Figure 9: Properties created
RESULTS AND CONCLUTIONS:
The mesh has been generated for parts with quality and the connections have been made in the model as well.
