Fixed Pin Unit

• Used to locate car panel using pins.
• It consists of riser, blade & adaptor plate, block, Shims, pin retainer, pin.
• Shims are the important parts since they used to avoid the error due to stack up tolerances. They are available from 0.1 mm to 2 mm size.
• Used to fix the rotational DOF of component.
• Shims used in both directions to accurately locate car panel.
• It has riser to raise the unit to specific height.
• Blades are placed above riser to so that cylinder arm can be mounted over it.
• Pin retainer are used to retain pin. Pin are of variety of types like small and large head pin, round pin, diamond pin. Diamond pin is used to overcome machining inaccuracies smother location options.

Design Consideration:

• For Less Height of riser from base plate upto 200 mm we can use T Type Riser otherwise we have to go for L shape riser with stiffener.
• The min Distance between the hole should be 60 mm for locating hole and Threaded hole is provide at distance of 15 mm.
