Drag force calculations and plots

`F_d`= (C_d * A * rho * v^2)/2`

where,

`C_d`= Drag coefficient

`A` = Area

`rho` = Density of fluid

`v` = velocity

`F_d`= Drag force

Part 1 :- Ploting Drag force vs velocity (drag_force).

This script plots Drag force vs velocity.

% Ploting Drag force vs velocity
% CLearing
close all
clear
clc
% Inputs
C_d = 0.2; % Drag coefficient
A = 0.1; % Frontal Area m^2
rho = 1.2; % Density of air kg/m^3
v = [1:50]; % Velocity array m/s
%Calculation
F_d = C_d * rho * A * v.^2 * 0.5; % Drag force array kg.m/s^2
% Plot
plot(v,F_d);
xlabel('Velocity m/s');
ylabel('Drag Force kg.m/s^2');

This plot shows parabolic variation of Drag force w.r.t velocity which is evident from the formula as `F_dpropv^2`.

Part 2 :- Ploting Drag force vs coefficient of drag (drag_force2)

This script plots Drag force vs drag coefficient.

% Ploting Drag force vs Drag coefficient
%Clearing
clear
close all
clc
% Inputs
C_d = [0.01:0.01:1]; % Drag coefficient
A = 0.1; % Frontal Area m^2
rho = 1.2; % Density of air kg/m^3
v = 20; % Velocity array m/s
% Calculations
F_d = C_d * A * v^2 * rho * 0.5;
% Plot
plot(C_d,F_d);
xlabel('Drag coefficient');
ylabel('Drag Force kg.m/s^2');

This plot shows linear variation of Drag force w.r.t Coefficient of drag which is evident from the formula as `F_dpropC_d`
