Bullet penetrating a bucket

Bullet penetrating a Bucket Challenge

Objectve- For this challenge, you will have to simulate a bullet penetrating into a bucket. You will need to use 3 different non linear materials for the bucket and analyse their behaviour for the same velocity of bullet. Apply the conditions for bullet as mentioned in the video itself.

Attach an animation to show the behaviour in the three cases.

Case 1:

We have used Aluminium NL as the bucket material and tantalum as the material for the bullet.

Total deformation

Temperature-

Case 2:

We have used structural steel NL as the bucket material and tantalum as the material for the bullet.

Temperature-

Case 3-

We have used Iron NL as the bucket material and tantalum as the material for the bullet.

Stress-

Strain-

Total deformation-

Temperature-

conclusion-

The least stress is observed in case of aluminium as this can be justified like it would be easier for the bullet to penetrate aluminium compared to iron and structural steel and the same goes for Temperature.
