Q. Design of Fender mounting points like Drip Area, Sill mount area, bumper mount , A-pillar mounting and wheel arc mounting by considering the fender skin, Drip area master sketch and design standards for rest of the mountings.

Fender

• It is the car body part that frames the wheel. It is purpose is to prevent sand, dirt, rocks and other road spray from being thrown into air by the rotating tire and close the engine component.

Fender design involved creating of mounting points like drip area, bumper, sill, wheel arc and A-pilar region.

1) Drip Area

It is the critical mounting area located inside the engine component. Designed according to the master section provided and optimal opening angle is maintained to make it look well assembled from outside.

Minimum clearance from head lamp and cowl part is maintained. Vertical distance of the drip mounting is maintained less than 60mm to avoid the spring back effect.
