simulating the Run file of model using Hypermesh

OBJECTIVE

The main objective of the challenge is to Read the Run file of this model and simulating the model by changing the property parameters as specified and compare the between the graphs obtained after the formulation parameters changed with the normal Run file simulation.

changing the T stop

  • The Timestep value is more important in the simulating the model, As
    • The Timestep which is the time required for the shock wave to propagate across the smallest element of the discretized model in which the shock wave generated in the model by applying the load.
    • As the timestep is depending upon the density of the model and such properties of the material like young\'s modulus, damping, poison\'s ratio of material.
  • The begin card is a card which is the default syntax in the run file which initiates the engine to run with default initiated the unit system and the run name of the model.
  • Here to simulate this model as required for 55ms and the required animation file of this simulation to 25 to 60 file of animation. so that the frequency of the animation which intends to create the file based on these two factors. And are both factors depends on each other within the solver.
  • Though the frequency depends on the run time in which this challenging objective is to create the animation file of about 25 to 60 file which then required to change the Tfreq value accordingly, Here the value of Tfreq is 2.2 as which creates 25 files of animation will be created.
  • The default value of the file creation while the cycle is 10 so that the engine is commanded to take calculation generated at every tenth cycle in which this creates the data according to the 10th cycle of the simulation process.

RUN THE SIMULATION

After making the changes to run the file with specified run time and the Timestep with respect to creating the animation file as required. This simulation takes 29186 cycles taken to complete the whole simulation. As the simulation is done with two different ways that by changing the shell properties as one and the without changing the properties as another,

The importance of the properties changed over in the parameters and the necessity of these properties are shell formulation characters defined in the ALTAIR RADIOSS.--https://altairhyperworks.com/hwhelp/Altair/2019/help/rad/topics/solvers/rad/prop_type1_shell_starter_r.htm

COMPARISION OF ERROR

The error comparison is of the simulated result will be shown below, As the important factors of the simulation results with animation files created as a result will be expanded.

The energy error is decreased due to element formulation parameters has been changed in the second simulation in which in case the element is selected that 24 QEPH - which has the under integrated stabilization method of interpolating the calculation over the nodes of the elements.

The graph comparison

CASE 1:

CASE 2:

case 1: Without changing the property parameters

The parameters id as defined in DEF Shell as default parameters which don\'t have any internal stabilization in the formulation of the elements. As of this formulation in elements, the energy error during the simulation is -10%. Due to this the hourglass error is also created. So that total energy is based on all the energy appeared in the model is decreases as this total energy is also decreased. As this property parameter is not the best in the case of this application. Though the energy error could be between 15% to 5% negative is negligible but in this case, the -10% error is not applicable to this model hence to optimize the error occurred, y changing the element formulation parameters. As the rigid wall forces are accepting the energy applied on the component and then the elements formulation leads to the losses. As the displacement animation is shown and the displacement which happened as not to be considered in this case because that tends the energy losses over the simulations.

case 2: By changing the property parameter

The parameter changed the to under integrated formulation of the element in the components the hourglass energy becomes zero as the internal stabilization method of interpolation is interacted and thus this forms the perfect result with the Less energy error of -0.1%. As this leads to the constant flow in the total energy applied to the model through the simulation, In this case, he stabilized formulation in elements that sense the energy applied on the model is then analyzed within it, So as the at stage of 51 cycle the resultant rigid wall force will be rising due to the increased element stabilization which then results in reflecting the energy opposed.

CONCLUSION:

As in result the simulated model with two different conditions with specified property parameters assigned to compare the simulation result Finalising the QEPH element with under integrated is perfect formulation, I conclude that before simulating a model the defined formulation of the elements is to be specified for the appropriate result to be obtained through the simulation As the error in energy dispassion is to be maintained over the simulation which in leads to the accurate results. So that the error percentage is to maintained and the Hourglass creation is also to be completely neglected.
