2d meshing in hypermesh

Objective:

1.Import the geometry

2.clean up the geometry of given models

3.Extract the mid surface from models

4.Fill the holes less than 5mm

5.create the 2d mesh with minimum size of element having 5mm to 7.5mm

6.move the mesh to original geometry

PROCEDURE

MODEL-1

brackets

1.import the geometry

The imported geometry is cleaned by using different tools in quickedit

2.Toogle the surface

3.add or remove points

4.use washer surface for more than 6mm dia

5.use filler surface for less than 5mm dia

7.extract the mid surface

8.create 2d meshing by using automesh tool and the element size must be 5mm to 7.5mm and if the mesh is irregular then,smoothen the mesh by using smooth tool

9.The elements is checked for some quality parameters by using check elements tool and give some universal values.

8.check the quality by using quality index and clean the geometry if any violating elements are there by using element clean up tool

9. now move the mesh to original geometry by using organize tool

10.create the property and give thickness of element,material and assign the property to original geometry

1.follow the same steps as mentioned in a above procedure upto meshing

2.check the quality parameters

3.move the elements to original geometry and assign some proper thickness and material

1.Follow the same steps as mentioned above procedure

2. here the mesh is not align with filler edges so,follow some steps

a.using defeature tool,find and remove the filler edges and surface fillets <2.5mm.we ingore suface fillets it will fail some elements.

b.using suface edit,create some lines at top of the surface for better meshing

3.Move the elements to original geometry ang assihn propper thickness and material

conclusion:

completed the editing geometry,2d meshing,quality check and asign property bu using hypermesh
