Week - 9 Material modeling from raw data

G DRIVE:https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/1S18pT4BTUAOJ-_CcfmpdcvvKG5dY2Guq

AIM

  • Extract the stress and strain data from the image by using the digitizer software and covert to true stress and strain data
  • Use the suitable material card (MAT24) with the unit system of Kg-mm-ms-GPa

CASE SET SETUP

  • EXTRACT STRESS STRAIN
  • .
  • the given image data stress in ksi so we want to convert the gpa
  • 1ksi=0.00689476 gpa

the given curve is too noisy so,we want uset the curve fit data type

  • after the applying the polynominal fuction the curve is 100% fit with 4 order eqn

Now the engg stress is converted to true stress and find out the eff, plastic strain also

  • True strain=Ln(1+engg.strain)
  • true stress=engg.stress(1+engg.strain)
  • Eff.plastic strain=true strain-true stress/E
  • Whree E=20.9E+06 psi. which need too convert the psi to gpa 20.9e6 psi=144.1004274237 gpa
  • This final input load curve data for input the ls dyna

SPECIMEN SETUP

  • CURVE DEFINATION
  • SECTION DEFINATION
  • ONE SIDE NODE WILL BE FIXED ALL DIRECTION
  • THE X DIRECTION ONLY NO FIXED FOR OTHER SIDE OF MOVING NODE BECAUSE OF UNDER TENSILE DURING THE TEST IN THAT AREA NODES

RESULT

The max stress is 0.1657gpa and min stress0.114 gpa

The min strain is 0.10322 and min stress 0.0688

the final stress strain data from the ls dyna

Conculsion

in this assignment we learn the how to noise clear the data in excel

we learn the how change the engg, stress to true stress and how to calculate the eff.plastic strain etc..

we learn the how extract the stress and strain data form ls dyna
