Week - 8 - Morphing

AIM: To perform Morphing operations on the given model to understand reverse engineering and efficient design changes.

MORPHING:

It is the method of changing features of a design at the CAD as well as FE level without the complete dimensioning and complex thinking. It is also used in reverse engineering which design can be changed with reference to the already present CAD data. It's a time-saving technique to make engineering concepts more intricate and easy.

METHODOLOGY:

A. Geometry Check-up

B. Box creation

C. Moving control Nodes to change the existing shape

Note: Similar steps are performed at different features

MODEL 2: Hand_Rest

Note: Methodology is performed similarly to model 1

Fig: All features morphed

Note: All the boxes can be deleted

CONCLUSION:

1. ANSA is a whole package that allows morphing for easy design transitions

2. Morphing can be achieved at both CAD as well as FE levels which adds an advantage for design systems
