Hood Mid-Surface extraction & Meshing

Aim: To extract midsuface for the given hood component and mesh it with assinging appropriate thickness as per the given quality criteria.

The quality criteria is given as follows:

Procedure:

1.First the component is imported and checked for any free edges,duplicates or missed surface in this model no such errors found

2.The components are hided accordingly and worked on the indubidual component one at a time

3. Gemertry clean up is made by autocleanup and some of the edges are toggled to suppress to gain the mesh flow

4.The compenents are meshed on the extracted midsurafce and the elements quality is adjusted by clean up tools Viz., element optimize,drag tria elemnets and split elements.

5. The component is checked for worse/fail component and cleaned again to attain minimum percentage of error elemnts in quality index setting

6. Finally the components are saved

Conclusion:

The models are imported,cleanedup,extracted mid-surface and meshed according to quality criteria
