Week 6

TITLE: TO CONNECT THE PARTS OF REAR DOOR USING ANSA IN A FE MODEL.

OBJECTIVE: To connect the components of rear door for NVH using diffrent connections.

• The connections in the ANSA is used for connecting diffrent parts of the model.There are different kind of connections in ANSA but in this component we use RB@ type, Spot Weld and CBUSH type connections.

• Here we make a hinge using two nodes RB2 elememt and the fix the degree of freedom as it must free in z direction, so the door can be open.

• After this part I move for all RB2 connections.Those are done by two option either by created 3D point and covert it to bolt or direct RB2 option on NVH.

• After this I look for all the spot welds in the weld regions.This option can done after creating a 3D point then coverting it to spot weld and then assigning differnt pids to parts that are to be connected then realise the connection.

• Now I make the connecttion for door handles usind two nod rb2 element where some concentarted mass is alooted as a handle in FE.

• Now I use CBUSH for connection of window part here I have to use elements to curve option to get curve.Then converting that curve to spot line using convert option then use the connection option to connect the window using RB3 CBUH RB3.

CONCULSION: Here in this rear door ,assembly is done using different connection like spotline,bolt,weld etc. Hence ANSA has very handy interface and tools to create the connections in any model.
