Week- 5 - Solid meshing
- Importing CAD Model in Ansa workspace.
- Then we will check for the geometric whethe it has any geometrical errors.
- If in case of errors check throws errors we will try to fix it manually or automatically depending upon the error.
- Once model has no error it will show green status as shown in below image and we can proceed further.
- Then we will go for the 2D meshing as all the componenets are splitted into 4 parts based on property.
- Then we will go the quality parameter which is available in tool bar.
- Then we will assign quality criteria as given in question.
- To enable the percentage of trias and quality of the off elements we are selecting element percentage in presentation parameters. After that select all details and click apply to obtain the values of elements and trias precentage of total model.
- Then the meshing is done mesh generation then spot mesh tool. This tool generates the mesh using the element type given.
- The curved faces are given mesh element type as ortho tria and the flat surfaces are given the mesh element type as tria.
- Then the created mesh is refined using the shell mesh then improve then reconstruct or smooth or reshape tool in mesh module.
- Then the volume is defined by using the define option in volume mesh module.
- Then the solid property is created, now we will go to volume option then list option and then right click on the solid property and click remesh option and selecting the volume type as tetra rapid to obtain the volume mesh.
- Once it is done the status on volume mesh list will show meshed.
