Week- 5 - Solid meshing
aim;
to perform 3Dunstructured mesh on the given rear view mirrior in ANSA
procedure;
1. import the given file into ANSA workspace:
file>open>selected file
the model can be first operation is topolagy
face>topo>select cones
nad the check the geometry is ok for creates the closed geometry for volume meshing
other option for similar operation is
cones>paste
2.check geometry:
to chech the all faces for any misssing face and crank in the face
tools>checks>geometry>execute
fix the all errors by right click the and select fix
3.qauality criteria:
set the qaulity criteria for meshing
utilities>quality criteria
utilities>mesh>mesh parameter
4.topology clean up:
the geometry is fixed the topology of the a fixed based on the minimum element lenght ,cons which are not satifying the minimum length criteria needs to be joined th aviod the mesh quality failiure
all geqmetry is ready meshed when to topology is cleaned
5.shell meshing:
to capture the curved surface without any dips ortho tria mesh is deployed on cured faces
ortho tria capture the curved faces more accuratly then the normal trias, normal tira elements are used on the flat surfaces
with the combined ortho tria and normal tria are used in the given given module is surface is meshed
shell mesh of all parts in the module
6.volume meshing:
first volume has been created fot meshing
module>volume mesh> difine>manual.select a part
the created volume is shown in the list option ,edit it if needed
the created volume si unmeshed , select a either tetra rapid or tetra fem to genetate the volume mesh inside the shell mesh
goto module >volume mesh >tetra rapid/tetra fem > select volume
then volume is created , the total no. of element is generated is displayed in under volume
if the volume mesh has any element they have ti be fixed to pass tetcollapse criteria and minimum nd maximum length
if ny element is fail to automaticay fix selection and selecting the fix quality
module>improve > fix quality> select
