Week 5 Challenge : Surface wrap on Automotive Assembly
ansa modelInitially when it comes to the surface wraping we generally concentrate on cleaning up the geometry in the surface part .we actually dont bother about the errors present inside the surface of the geometry.so i have taken first the engine model in the topo and switched the model from ent mode to PID mode so the penetration surfaces will be identified easily by colors and geometrical cleanups is done by deleting the penetration surfaces by using the delete option and selecting the face clicking on middle mouse to delete it .then face were created using the new face option and selecting coons and planar mode sometimes.Thenafter cleaning up the geometry there is a fully messed part present at the top of the engine we have deleted it because cleaning up that part is not convincing and also deleted the belt which also not convincing then after closed all the openings for the engine .Now separatelely i have cleaned up the the gear box and transmission model in the similar way and not closed all the opening and then ensured no single cons and triple cons were present on the surface of both gear box and transmission model and then i saved both the files.Then i went to the engine model and then clicked on file and then merge and a new tab was opened showing the previous saved files and then went clicked on gear box fileand then it got attached to the engine model showing no errors in the small tab and similarly again went to the files option and then clicked on merge option and then in the similar way previously saved files got displayed and thenclicked on transmission model and it gets attahed to the engine and geatr box model and showed no error in the small tab and after everything got atttached now i closed all the openings visible using new faces option and selecting the loop option and clicking on planar modea and clicking on the middle on the middle mouse to create a face and there they generated a triple cons but i have a justification for that thats why i didnt bothered about it.
