Week 5 Challenge : Surface wrap on Automotive Assembly
Aim :- Surface wrap on Automotive Assembly To learn about surface wrapping around an assembly, which is surface meshing along the entire volume. For the given model we need to do topo clean up and merge all the 3 components and then perform meshing Engine ,Gearbox,Transmission.
Purpose :-
Surface wrap is the process of meshing where the designer is only interested in the outside surface of the assembly i.e., the component inside the volume will be kept as it is. This kind of meshing is only used for the simulation in which we are interested in the outer surface only like external flow simulations.
Insert Model :- insert the model shows the many component are showing in the model .

Uncheked is those elements surfaces is very smaller in surface and width its needs to be delte follow the steps
right click on the unchecked and show only and select all delete.
For the above model we need to start with deleting the rings on every fillet.
There are the lots of rings to delete single single selection is the complex and time taking method so use the hide pid of surfaces then lock the screen then delete the rings.

Merge model steps
Select File → Merge → Windows pop up → Select The Model → open → ok

Similarly Follow the same other model to merge transmission and gear box.

SURFACE WRAP:
We can find the wrap option in the mesh option

select the Constant length for this challange.netxt windows popup selct the doble click on the constant wrap octree.

Doble click on that .

ok Give the name Surface Wrap & Target length is 5 mm.ok

if the target length is min then surafce mesh smoother and fine.
Click ok →then Double click on the contants window will pop up
Compress Option :- its command to used for forcefully deleted the pid .
select the all pid Ctrl +A

Then click on the green arrow option (MOve) PID Move also check the number are pid is moved then click ok

Now in this window shows its contents is 89 . now run the model ok

CONCLUSION:
We learned to merge the geometry and then we created the surface wrap mesh.
