Week 4 -Wire Bending Challenge

Objective:

              To perform an analysis to simulate the bending of a wire in ANSYS, with different wire material.

Procedure:

• Import the wire bending model.
• Start to give the boundary conditions to solve the model.Solve the model for Cu alloy NL, AL alloy NL and Mg aalloy NL after that compare all the models for Stress, strain and total deformation for all those three models.

CASE i :

• Change the material for the model as Cu Alloy Non linear.
• Now give the boundary conditions and solve the models.
• Record the stress, strain & total deformation values for the model.
• Record the values for each cases.

CASE ii :

• Change the material for the model as AL Alloy Non linear.
• Now give the boundary conditions and solve the models.
• Record the stress, strain & total deformation values for the model.
• Record the values for each cases.

CASE iii :

• Change the material for the model as Mg Alloy Non linear.
• Now give the boundary conditions and solve the models.
• Record the stress, strain & total deformation values for the model.
• Record the values for each cases.

CONCLUSION:

                     The analysis were made for all the three models and the model is saved.
