OBJECTIVE :

Create 1D elements on the following component with given cross-section and DOF

PROCEDURE:

1 . Import the parallel bracket model in .iges format

2. Create the midsurface and delete the solid part

3. Create RBE2 in hole 'A' and RBE3 link in Holes 'B' and 'C' with DOF's as mentioned

4. Create material > Steel

5. Create hyperbeams> as per dimensions mentioned

6. Create properties for midsurface > pshell and steel

7. Create properties for bar, beam & rod > PBAR, PBEAM, PROD respectively and steel material

8. Create 1 D element BAR, BEAM, ROD for Holes 'A' 'B' & 'C' respectively

9. Assign beam section to all 1D element.

10. Create RBE2 link in hole 'D' and 'E'

11. Assign CMASS1 of magnitude 10 in hole 'D' and 'E'

12. Connect parallel brackets by spring element 'CELAS1'
