Week 4-1D Element Creation Challenge

Objective : main objective of this challange is to learn the creation of property and assigning of material to the component and extracting the mid surface then creating 1D elements such as bar and beam elements , springs and gap element .

step 1: import the geometry from the file

step 2: extract the mid surface

step 3: delete the solid part

step 4: create split washers for all the holes on surface

step 5: create property and assign material, and its mechanical properties

step 6: create rbe2 link at place a with all degrees of freedom constrained and then create box cross section

step 7:create rbe3 link at place b with all dof constrained then create I section

step 8: create rbe3 link with X and Y DOF constrained of bar element X cross section

step 9: create rbe2 link at places d and e and apply masses of 10 units

step 10: create spring elements at f
