Procedure:

i     -   At first get the model and starts to check the geometry of the given model.

ii    -   If the given model has any geometry errors, then at first clear the geometry of the given model.

iii   -   After clearing the geometry errors, get ready to take the mid surface of the givewn model.

iv   -   By using the mid surfacing command select all the complete model .

v    -   After selecting all the entityies, select the faces of the givem model.

vi   -   After meshing the Mid surface, Thickness must be assigned to Midsurface select only the midsurfaced            area and topo the entire surface.

vii  -   Next clear the midsurface and make it smooth for meshing.

viii -   Give the quality criteria values as per given.

ix   -   Now mesh the entire mid surface using 'best' command in the clasic mesh.

x    -   After meshing the entire midsurface if there are any quality criteria issues try to 'reconstruct' it or try            to 'improve' the mesh flow.

xi   -    All the 2D elements in your model should clear the above-mentioned quality criteria and the features             in the model have to be captured properly with good mesh flow

xii  -    In the hemming region(in the Outer panel’s bend region), Elements will fail for the Min length error             due to the very small surface to capture the curved surface, so try to 'defeature' it.

xiii  -    In order to solve this Min length error, One can toggle (suppress) the top and bottom double cons at             the fillet region of a mid surface (Toggled cons will be represented as Orange colour lines). This is                 called ‘defeaturing’ the midsurface.

xiv  -   Try to attain a smooth mesh. The mesh should look smooth and regular.

xv   -   Back to back trias should be avoided.

xvi  -   Two opposite trias near to each other should also be avoided.

xvii  -   By using 'split' command trias can be taken outside.

xviii -   By using 'swap' command trias can be taken away from each other.

xix   -   By using 'paste' command tras can be moved.

xx    -   After vthat use 'smooth' command to smoothen the mesh area.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

a)   By working on this hood model , I learned many tools to handle.

b)   I learned to use boolean operations, property id & material id.

c)   I LEARNED TO DELETE AND REFLECT THE AREAS.

d)   I learned to insert and delete hopt point & many ANSA tools.

e)   I learned about the quality criterias.

f)   I learned many methods of meshing the model.

CONCLUSION:

The given hood model is studied, analysed, Geometry checked, thickness has measured, Mid surfaced, & meshed properly.
