Challenge

Week -2

The following simscape and Simulink blocks are used in the simulation.

  1. PS-Simulink and Simulink-PS converter
  2. Scopes
  3. Displays
  4. Pulse generator
  5. electrical and mechanical references
  6. solenoid
  7. Battery
  8. switch
  9. ideal Transalation motion sensor
  10. solver configuration.

Before we begin the simulation we need to setup an input parameter here in pulse generator where we delay
seconds should be 2secs with amplitude 1 and Pulse time should be 2secs to make it in half with 50% pulse width.

The input signal of the pulse generator

OUTPUT:

THERMISTOR

we going to use the same procedure as above to simulate a thermistor to sense the temperature of a heater.

Thermistor: thermal resistor is defined as a type of resistor whose electrical resistance varies with changes in temperature. Although all resistor's resistance will fluctuate slightly with temperature, a thermistor is particularly sensitive to temperature changes.

Conditions:
Temperature: 20 °C from 0to 10 seconds, 27 °C from 10 to 30 seconds, 23 °C from 30 to 50 seconds.

Fan conditions: ON if the temperature above 25 °C, otherwise off.

The following simscape and Simulink blocks are used in the simulation.

•Repeating Sequence stair
•Controlled Tempera
•Thermistor
•Resistor
•Voltage sensor
•Battery
•Switch
•Scope
•Dsiplay
•PS-Simulink Convert
•Simulink-PS Convert & Solver Configuration

A Repeating Sequence Stair is given as input to the thermistor through a controlled temperature source.

The conditions of the temperature source is defined in the values. The sample time was taken as 10s and the whole simulation time was taken as 50s.

INPUT SIGNAL

RESULT: OUTPUT

for 1st 10 seconds when the temparature is 293k the switch of in OFF condition for 10sec to 30 sec, when the temparature is 300k the switch is in ON conditiion, For 30sec to 50 sec when the temparature is 296k the switch is in OFF condition.
