Conclusion
Model 1 is less deformed even though the maximum stress acting at it was higher when compared to Model 2.
The number of elements which has undergone Maximum deformation is higher for Model 2.
So in Analytical point of view, Model 1 is more durable and is a better choice.
Model 1 has more material volume and mass compared to Model 2, but the difference is minimal.
When considering the additional manufacturing process required for the Model 2, It will not reduce the production cost considerably.
So, In Manufacturing point of view also, Model 1 is a better choice.
