Week 1 Stress Concentration on a Plate with hole
CASE 1:
- At first in ANSYS work bench select static structural.
- In static sstructural there will be engineering data,----> geometry--->model--->setup--->solution--->results.
- In that select Engineering data select the material as structural steel.
- Next select Geometry in that select space claim geometry and start to model the given geometry model.
- Aftermodeling update the model in model.
- Next in model tab start meshing the model.
- After meshing fix the one side and apply the load at the other side.
- Give 500N force at the other end.
- Now import the stress ans strain in the model.
- Now solve the model.
- After it is completely solved try to archive the model and save it.
CASE 2:
- At first in ANSYS work bench select static structural.
- In static sstructural there will be engineering data,----> geometry--->model--->setup--->solution--->results.
- In that select Engineering data select the material as structural steel.
- Next select Geometry in that select space claim geometry and start to model the given geometry model.
- Model the geometry by the given criteria in case 2.
Analysis point of view:
- From my analysis point of view less descretized model will be so compactable for analysis of the stress and strain.
- So in that case case 2 model has less no of descritized element .
- So from analysis point of view I will select case 2 model.
Manufacturing point of view:
- From my manufacturing point of view we needs to save mopney in all acceptable cases.
- At this part in case 1 less work is required when compared to case 2.
- So from manufacturing point of view I will select case 1 model.
Report:-
Objective:
To model the given geometry and study the maximum deformation and stress developed in the model.
Procedure:
- Do the same for case2.
Result:
The given model is created and the deformation and stress developed is recorded.
