Week 1 Stress Concentration on a Plate with hole

1) Plate with one hole is having the deflection of 0.00027mm and stress appriximately equal to 0.543Mpa.

Plate with three holes has maximum deflection of 0.00029 and stress approx 0.5084Mpa.

2) From an analysis standpoint, I will select plate with one hole because the stress concentration will be less as compared to plate with three holes and other values like deflection and stress are coming almost equal.

3) From manufacturing standpoint depending upon the purpose I will select the material if there is requirement of low cost I will select plate with one hole because it will save cost of making two other holes. if there is requirement of light weight then I will select plate with three holes.
