report on how i perform the meshing the cylinder model file:

1)The cylinder model file was coverted to property mode from entity mode by clicking on the property id mode(PID mode) in draw mode.

2)we activate the draw cons in the other modes also as in the entity mode by clicking on the quality criterian tool box.

3)we execute the geomentry checks to find as there are any issues in the geomentry,it shows no issues found.

4)we now create the name id\'s for the different faces of cylinder i.e-assigning the shell properties, this is done by using the set PID option.we created this shell properties for assigining the boundary conditions.

5)we assigin the shell properties by turning the cross hatches on from the visibility area.

6)creating mesh

while creating the mesh we switch from topo mode to mesh mode in discipline modules,then we prescribed the length of each mesh element by clicking on the legth option in perimeters. we apply the element size i.e-the distance between the nodes as 1 unit.

To perform the mesh we go the mesh generation and select the spot mesh in spot mesh select the element type as the tri and apply the mesh on the cylinder by selecting the cylinder and centre mouse click, the mesh is applied on the cylinder.

7)we now go to the check manager and performs the surfaces mesh checks no issues found.

8)total no of mesh created are 605032.
