Structural Modelling using Etabs 2018

AIM:to architectural drawing for G+7 residential building in zone has been provided.the floor plan is same for all 7 floor levels.

INTRODUCTION:structural modeling refers to those modeling activities in which the intention of the modeler is to embody the geometric rather than the algebric and of describing from rather then calculating

procedure:

open the etabs and select the new modeal.-

now we cxan see the grid dimension and custom them and we see the story data and add the base level and 7story and mumty.

finaly click ok.

now we can add the M25 and FE415 properties on the define tool.

agian go to the tool bar and select section tool the frame section for the columns and beam.

now we need add the slab propertie and in the section bar we see the slab section and we give slab data and thicknees of the slab.

now we can draw the column using the column tool option un the lift side of the etabs software.

here we need to rotate the angles for 90 degree outer columns.

then we add the beam from using beam tool option the lift side of the etabs software.

now we delete the columns where we add the shear wall.

here we need to do what they give us for architectural and we use the tool of replicate and divided frames and join frames.

then draw the shear walls in horizontal direction from where we need and draw the lift on the three sides.

and now we add the load paterens and add

ans add marcs are live load taken as 0.25 and reming dead load and wall and floor finsh we take.

and also we add the earthquake loads no the x direction with positive and negative

and also same as earthqake load on the y durection with positive and negative.

now we check the loads cases where we provided the loads for this structure.

now we create the load comibinations.

and we can aply the live load and wall load for the structure

and we need to add the live loads reduction factors 1 to 7 floors ans set 1,0.9,0.8,0.7,0.6,0.6,0.6

we add the diaghragms for all 7 floors.

now we check the modeal ,no erros and warings

we run the analysis.

now we the what values for we need in thable from.
