Sketch a G+1 residential plan according to Vaastu Shastra and Calculation of Loads as per IS code

Sketch a G+1 floor residential plan, according to Vaastu Shastra, and list down the names of the structural drawings required to be provided to the site for construction.

Also, assume the sizes of the structural elements (Column, Beam, Slab, etc.,) and accordingly calculate the individual corresponding loads from the members as per IS code.

*Inserted Hand sketched Drawing 1 Structural plan for G+1 Residential building.

*Inserted Hand sketched Drawing 2 Ground floor plan for G+1Residential building according to Vaastu shastra.

*Inserted Hand sketched Drawing 3 1st Floor plan for G+1 Residential building according to Vaastu shastra.

 Ground floor load calculations

*Dead load of Columns

Length of Column=300mm or 1ft

Breathe of Column =230mm or 9 Inches

Height of column=3050mm or 10ft

weight of Rcc for 1cu/m = 2500kg

=0.300x0.230x3.050x2500

= 526.125x 12columns

=6313.5kg Or  63.15kN

*Dead load of Beams

Length of Beams = 14.63 M or48ft

Breathe of Beams = 230mm or 9 Inches

Height of Beams= 450mm or 1.5 ft

weight of Rcc for 1cu/m = 2500kg

=0.230x0.45x14.63x2500

=3785.5x3Beams

=11356.5kg or 113.5kN

Length of Beams = 6.85 M or 22.5ft

Breathe of Beams = 230mm or 9 Inches

Height of Beams= 450mm or 1.5 ft

weight of Rcc for 1cu/m = 2500kg

=0.230x0.45x6.85x2500

=1772.4x4Beams

=7089.75kg or 70.90kN

*Dead load of Slab

Length of slab = 14.63 M or48ft

Breathe of slab = 7.3M or 24ft

Height of slab= 125mm or 5 inchs

weight of Rcc for 1cu/m = 2500kg

=1x1x0.125x2500

=312.5 kg x107 cu/M

=33437.5 kg or 334.5kN/M

*Live load and wind load of slab

=Live load to be 2 kN per meter, and  Wind Load as per Is 875 Near about 2 kN per meter.

So, from the above data, we can estimate the slab load to be around 8kN/M.
