Project - Data Handling and Interpolation

Project :

In a laboratory experiment, data of voltage and current has been recorded and the same is attached in an excel file ( Click on this link VI.xlsx ). Read the excel file in the Matlab program and perform the interpolation in the range of -17.3:0.1:0.9. Generate the interactive plot for the interpolated data and store them in a text file.

What is interpolation?

Interpolation is a process for estimating values that lie between known data points. Interpolation involves creating of a function f that matches given data values y_i at given data sites x_i where f(x_i) = y_i, for all i. Most interpolation methods create the interpolant f as the unique function of the formula.

Interpolation has a differnt types of methods.

1. linear interpolation

2.spline interpolation

3. cubic interpolation etc.
