Task 1: Static Code Review Analysis

Objective

Perform a static code review analysis on the file located at: C:\...\LDRA_workarea\Examples\C_Testbed_examples\Testrain\Testrain.c

Steps

1. Launch LDRA Testbed:

   • Open LDRA Testbed on your system.

2. Import Source Code:

   • Navigate to the specified file location and load Testrain.c into the LDRA workspace.

3. Run Static Code Review:

   • Select Static Code Analysis from the LDRA menu.
   • Choose relevant coding standards (e.g., MISRA, CERT C) for the review.
   • Execute the analysis and review:
     • Coding standard violations.
     • Maintainability index.
     • Complexity metrics (e.g., Cyclomatic Complexity).

4. Generate Code Review Report:

   • Navigate to the "Reports" section.
   • Select "Static Analysis Report" and export it as a PDF or HTML file.

5. Upload the Report:

   • Save the report and upload it as per the instructions.

Task 2: Integration Testing

Objective

Perform integration testing for all .C files in: C:\...\LDRA_workarea\Examples\Toolsuite\Cashregister_6.0\

Steps

(A) Create Test Cases and Execute Tests

1. Load the Files:

   • Import all .C files from the specified folder into the LDRA Testbed workspace.

2. Set Up Integration Test Environment:

   • Configure the project for integration testing.
   • Define relationships and dependencies between the modules.

3. Manual Test Case Creation:

   • Identify integration points and create test cases manually for:
     • Data flow validation.
     • Functional interface checks.
   • Use the "Test Management" section to define inputs, expected outputs, and success criteria.

4. Automatic Test Case Generation:

   • Use TBExtreme to generate test cases automatically:
     • Configure the tool to meet integration testing goals (e.g., functional interactions, coverage).
     • Execute the generated test cases.

5. Stub Management:

   • Identify external or missing functions.
   • Use Stub Management to simulate these dependencies during testing.

6. Run Integration Tests:

   • Execute both manual and automatic test cases.
   • Verify outputs and debug failures.

7. Generate Test Reports:

   • Export test execution results and coverage reports in PDF or HTML formats.

(B) Store Test Cases as .tcf Files

1. Save Test Cases:

   • In LDRA Testbed, save all created test cases as a .tcf file (Test Case File).
   • Ensure the file is saved in an accessible location.

2. Capture Location Image:

   • Navigate to the folder where the .tcf file is stored.
   • Take a screenshot of the directory showing the .tcf file.

3. Upload Image:

   • Save the screenshot and upload it as required.

1. Static Code Review Report (PDF/HTML) for Testrain.c.
2. Integration Test Reports (Manual and Automatic test cases).
3. Saved .tcf File containing all test cases.
