Project 2 - EDA on Vehicle Insurance Customer Data

EDA on Vehicle Insurance Customer Data:

This Python project aims to perform Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) on a dataset containing vehicle customer insurance data. The dataset contains information about customers and their vehicle insurance policies. The goal of the project is to gain insights, understand patterns, and extract meaningful information from the data using the powerful data manipulation and analysis library, Pandas.

The project will involve the following steps:

  1. Data Loading: Load the dataset into a Pandas DataFrame using the appropriate file reading function, such as pd.read_csv() or pd.read_excel().

  2. Data Understanding: Explore the structure and contents of the dataset. Check the column names, data types, and general statistics using functions like df.head(), df.info(), df.describe(), etc. Gain an initial understanding of the data and identify potential issues, such as missing values or outliers.

  3. Data Cleaning: Clean the dataset by handling missing values, duplicates, and inconsistent data. Remove or fill missing values appropriately using functions like df.dropna(), df.fillna(), etc. Remove duplicate rows using df.drop_duplicates(). Perform necessary data type conversions and handle any inconsistencies in the data.

  4. Data Visualization: Create visualizations to better understand the data and uncover insights. Use Matplotlib or Seaborn to plot histograms, bar charts, scatter plots, or other relevant visualizations. Visualize relationships between variables, distributions, and trends in the data.

  5. Data Analysis: Perform in-depth analysis of the dataset by answering specific questions or exploring relationships between variables. Use Pandas functions to filter, group, aggregate, or transform the data as required. Compute summary statistics, calculate frequencies, or explore correlations between variables.

  6. Insights and Findings: Summarize the key insights and findings obtained from the EDA process. Document any patterns, trends, or interesting observations discovered during the analysis.

  7. Presentation and Reporting: Prepare a report or presentation summarizing the EDA process, including the steps taken, data insights, visualizations, and any recommendations based on the findings. Communicate the results effectively to a target audience.
